Recent data suggest that women continue to look for more convenient contraceptives. The National Survey for Family Growth found that 10 percent of women who discontinued oral contraceptives did so because they were too difficult to use2. Additionally, 46.3 percent of women who became pregnant while on oral contraceptives cited failure to take their pill on time as the reason for their unintended pregnancy3.
