Agis Kydonieus, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer
Agis Kydonieus is Chief Scientific Officer of Agile Therapeutics and President of Samos Pharmaceuticals, LLC, a company involved in consulting and development of biomaterials, medical devices, skin care and drug delivery products.
Previously he served as Vice President of Corporate R&D for Convatec, a division Of Bristol Myers Squibb Company and President of Hercon Laboratories, a transdermal delivery company. The holder of 40 U.S. patents, he is the author or co-author of 30 book chapters, over 100 publications and the editor of ten books pertaining to polymers and drug delivery. Dr Kydonieus is a co-founder of the Controlled Release Society and Krikos and member of numerous scientific societies.
He received his B.S.Ch.E summa cum laude (1959) and doctoral degree (1964) in chemical engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
